Petit poème
(Little poem)

The piece with the voice
of Pascale Charreton and the words
of Mara Cantoni is especially evocative.

(Maurizio Favot, suono, june 2002)

Petit poème is a song.
Thanks to its lightness
it has flown from
the Mediterranean to Russia
to the Far East, often changing traveling companions.

Petit poème is a sung pause
in the album that contains it.

Petit poème is a moment
of a concert with an unusual band.

Petit poème is a music score
in the collection
of the same name.

In some pages the two languages were able
to fly together like in Petit Poème by Mara Cantoni.

(Luigi Onori, il manifesto, 26 juillet 2005)

Writing words on notes already written: sometimes a job,
sometimes a moment of grace.

Years later after certain fights
with the Italian language and
the compromises that resulted from this (see), I have found
a good ally in French in making the text a bridge toward music.

To stay in the world of song
and for other music–text relationships...

Pascale Charreton joins the trio
to sing the verses of Mara Cantoni
and create one of the most convincing moments of the album.
